Emma:Welcome to the Research Culture Uncovered podcast, our weekly
Emma:conversation exploring all the different aspects of research culture with a
Emma:variety of co-hosting guest speakers.
Emma:We're going to be uncovering the challenges, asking some of those nitty
Emma:gritty questions, coming up with ideas and suggestions, and learning from all
Emma:the great work that's already going.
Emma:Now research culture is a huge topic that describes the environment
Emma:in which research happens.
Emma:This includes the ways we collaborate, communicate, and interact with each other,
Emma:but also the behaviors, expectations, attitudes and values that shape
Emma:how research is developed, how it's conducted, and how it's disseminated.
Emma:It also includes the mechanisms by which our work is recognized and reward.
Emma:And on that note, let's not forget about all the people, the individuals
Emma:in all variety of roles that we need to work together to enable conduct
Emma:or even participate in research.
Emma:In our seasons, we're going to be covering career development, research
Emma:leadership, open research, research impact, and uncovering some of those
Emma:tricky issues that many of us are.
Emma:This podcast focuses on our ideas, approaches, and learning
Emma:to create a research culture that enables everyone to thrive.
